The Amazon sale of all sales — Prime Day — is officially running from July 8th through the 11th, and this year, it's bigger than ever. For the first time, we’re getting a four-day event — double the usual 48-hour window. So if you've had your eye on some of the latest and greatest tech, this could be your best bet for snapping up a bargain.

Although Amazon is known for its daily deals, we think it's best for tech. Some amazing designer brands stock their products on Amazon, too — more on that to come — and these are also well worth keeping an eye on during the Prime Day sales (I've included a quick list below for ease).

So, without further ado, consider this your 2025 Prime Day cheat sheet to shop smarter (literally), not harder this year.

P.S. Prime Day — along with their new "Today’s Big Deals", which are daily deals that drop at midnight each night over the sales event — are strictly members-only. If you’re not already in the club, sign up for Prime here now to get access before the best finds vanish.

When to Find the Best Home Deals On Amazon

There are always Amazon homeware deals, but here are a few dates to keep an eye out for:

  • Amazon Prime Day — July 8–11, 2025: This year’s Prime Day is a whopping four days long, with fresh ‘New Deal Drop’ offers launching at midnight daily. Expect markdowns across the board, but tech is where the real steals are — high-ticket items from the best tech brands will be at their lowest prices all year.
  • End-of-Summer Sales — September 2025: As retailers clear the decks for autumn, summer staples go on deep discount. It’s your last (and best) chance to snag that outdoor furniture set, patio umbrella, or cordless garden lantern you’ve been eyeing, often for half the price.
  • Fall Prime Day — October 2025: Amazon’s second Prime Day of the year leans even more into its tech roots. Expect major deals on Amazon-made gear — such as Fire TVs, Echo speakers, and Ring security systems — plus strong discounts across home and lifestyle. Pro tip: This is your window for pre-holiday upgrades.
  • Early Black Friday — October to November 2025: Black Friday creep is real. Expect retailers to roll out deals weeks in advance, some as early as mid-October. While the deepest discounts are still saved for the actual event, early shoppers can snag hot items before they sell out. A word of advice: don’t wait if it’s buzzy or low-stock.
  • Black Friday / Cyber Monday — November 28 & December 1, 2025: It’s the most iconic sales duo for a reason. Expect Amazon to go big on bedding — always a best-seller during this window — and even bigger on electronics, especially its own devices. Cyber Monday is the day to snag Fire tablets, Echo speakers, and smart tech for less.
  • Holiday Sales — December 2025: From last-minute gifts to festive finishing touches, Amazon pulls out all the stops in December. It may not be Boxing Day-deep, but if you need to deck the halls, upgrade your guest bedding, or pick up a last-minute smart home gift, discounts abound.
  • Boxing Day Deals — December 26, 2025: Didn’t sell in time for Christmas? Amazon wants it gone. Think the usual suspects like holiday decor, but also luxury candles and gift-adjacent extras at some pretty sweet prices.
  • New Year’s + Winter Sales — Early January 2026: January is the month for discounted cold-weather essentials: goose-down duvets, flannel sheets, and anything bouclé or velvet. Expect deep cuts on winter-forward decor, too — perfect for staying in.

Amazon also stocks some of the best candles — more on that to come, too — from some amazing home fragrance brands, such as Diptyque. Its best-selling Figuier Scented Candle is currently on sale on Amazon.

What to Consider When Shopping Amazon Sales

Reviews: How many reviews does the product have? How many are positive? Read reviews and look at the images. Discount 1 and 2-star reviews based on service, rather than the quality of the product — Amazon's retailers have a pretty good reputation for solving problems and offering returns where needed, and these poor reviews often come from trigger-happy buyers who don't wait for a resolution.

Style: When you spot a design you like, click through to the Store. You'll often find products of a similar style, and you can "follow" them to keep an eye out for other designs and new additions — it's a very useful shortcut for finding the most design-forward styles.

Materials: At Livingetc, we like the look for less, but not at the expense of quality. Look for solid materials, whether that's wood or stone, rather than laminated replicas. In textiles, too, fabric listings can help you make a guess at whether something is going to look as expensive in real life as it does on the site.

Discount: How much does it have off? Outside of major sale events, discounts on Amazon can be small, but it pays to be conscious of not buying larger investment pieces only because they have a little money off. It's better to shop with your heart, with a little bit of head, rather than buying the most discounted option, only not to love it once it arrives.

When Is Amazon's Next Prime Day Home Event?

Amazon Prime Day is going long this year — for the first time ever, the event will stretch across four full days, running from July 8 through July 11, 2025. That’s double the usual chaos, and double the deals on everything from luxe bedding to cult-favorite espresso machines.

Since Prime Day now happens twice a year, the next event will land sometime in October. Check back here closer to the date — we’ll be updating with all the details and standout deals.

A quick note: Amazon Prime Day discounts are only available to Prime members. You can sign up on Amazon for a free 30 day trial — after that, membership costs $14.99 a month, but includes free and fast shipping, where available, and a membership to Amazon Prime Video's ad-supported tier.

Is There Another Prime Day in 2025?

There is! Amazon runs another Prime Day in October — in 2024, the event ran on the 8th and 9th October, so expect similar dates for Autumn 2025, as well as similar deals across all your favorite tech brands and more.

Does Amazon Have a Black Friday Sale?

Amazon absolutely has a Black Friday sale — Black Friday typically falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving, which this year will be Friday 21st November, but many big retailers start their Black Friday sales far in advance of this date, leading onto Cyber Monday dales after the weekend and sometimes beyond. You can expect significant markdowns across all of their sections — a great opportunity to do your Christmas shopping!

Are Amazon Holiday Deals Good?

Amazon's Holiday deals gets our stamp of approval with deals ranking from 11% off to 50% and more.

In order to get ahead, Livingetc's Homes Ecommerce director Lindsey Davis tells us: "In future, it's always worth considering shopping early, or at least putting items in your basket early."

Lindsey continues: "I would also advise that if you see something you love, add it to your basket now, and check back regularly to see if the price has dropped as the sale continues. That will save you trying to find the product you swore you would buy, but subsequently can't find!"

Are Amazon After-Christmas Sales Better?

"Amazon after-Christmas sales are always really good for snapping up deals on anything that's not sold out over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period, says Lindsey . "If you have the budget and the items you want are on offer in Amazon's sale, I wouldn't wait in case stock runs out; if however, you have Christmas vouchers to spend, shopping Amazon's after-Christmas sale is a great opportunity to make your money go further."

Does Amazon Have An MLK Day Home Sale?

"Amazon does not specifically run a sale on Martin Luther King Day, which in 2025 was on January 20th," says Lucy Searle, Audience Content Director at Livingetc. "However, it does like to drop prices competitively when other retailers have sales on, so if you are shopping for a particular item, such as a mattress or sofa, it's always worth comparing and contrasting prices of similar items on Amazon. Just read the reviews carefully if you are unfamiliar with the brand."

Does Amazon Have A Presidents' Day Home Sale?

"Typically, Amazon will run a Presidents' Day sale, with excellent (over 50%) discounts on typical products, such as mattresses, and deals on bedding," says Lindsey Davis. "You will also find great discounts on furniture, kitchen appliances, and home tech, such as TVs."

My final parting tip for you: Amazon's outdoor lighting section. Make the most of the summer in your outdoor space with some outdoor uplighters — our favorites are these CORESLUX Solar Uplighters; you're welcome.
