Faiza is the Renovation Editor at Livingetc. A keen learner of all things design, home, and all things beautiful — Faiza currently spends her weekends redecorating her small apartment, and she recently renovated her small kitchen. Documenting her design journey, Faiza has spoken to kitchen experts on two-tone kitchen cabinets and explored how durable certain materials are in the kitchen.
Faiza has a BA Honours degree in Journalism. Her passion for Journalism began when she was just a little girl. As a Muslim, growing up, she felt there was not much representation in the media, and she wanted to step up and be that change. After graduating and earning her degree, she spent her time freelancing for various outlets, including UniDAYS and the Middle East Monitor, before securing a full-time role in the newsroom.
Before joining Livingetc, (a brand which she absolutely adores and admires) she previously worked for The Independent as a News Feature Writer, where she focused on curating stories based on lifestyle, entertainment, news and more. She also worked as an Audience Editor for the newspaper for almost two years. Thriving in the busy newsroom, Faiza also spent her time curating stories for Sky News as an SEO reporter, where she produced stories based on trending topics.
She has a background in SEO, social media, and reporting. Her passion for writing goes beyond her work as she appreciates all things poetry and creative writing.
