The Fifty: Autumn 25 — A Design-Obsessed Editor's List of the Hottest Homewares to Shop This Season
From tonal colors to decor details inspired by your (cool) Grandma's home, this is an extensive edit of what's caught our editor's eye for the upcoming season

Autumn is the season when it comes to styling — both ourselves and our homes. Light layers are replaced with textures that embrace you, color palettes turn more decadent, decorating becomes more layered, and warm lighting isn't just a mood, but an essential. As the air turns crisp and nights draw in, home takes on a whole new meaning.
It also happens to coincide with the season when predictions for the year ahead are revealed, trends either fade away or settle in for the long term, and style becomes more layered, nuanced, and rich. 2025 has been an interesting year. We've been more playful with our styling, embracing punchy colors and less perfect finishes, and it shows no signs of slowing when it comes to autumn decor ideas.
I'm using the turn of the season to take stock of my home. To clear away any fleeting fads I've already fallen out of love with, and fully embrace those I can now safely say are not just 'stylish', but my style. And that's how I've approached this edit of 50 of the hottest homewares to shop this season. There are pieces you may have seen before, some that feel completely fitting for the season, and others that take the more timeless route. And — importantly — there isn't a pumpkin-scented, -shaped, or -seasoned thing in sight, because I wholeheartedly believe that styling your home for autumn shouldn't be about a theme, but a feeling. And here are 50 homewares that I think capture it.
Who said autumn styling has to stick to warm, dark colors? Dare to be a bit different with this beautifully vibrant jug by Harlie Brown Ceramics.
British fashion brand Shrimps just collaborated with Oliver Bonas, and it's cute! Featuring Lenny the Lion, this butter keeper is calling my name.
A piece that can do multiple jobs (serve drinks and style flowers) is worth twice as more and costs half the price. At least that's my logic with this seriously cool 'acid' jug.
When it comes to cool and slightly abstract homewares, Jonathan Adler is a reliable go-to. This embellished snake throw taps into the animal print trend but elevates it.
SOPHIE LOU JACOBSEN COCO CUP SET, FARFETCH
Delicate, dainty, lace-like details are everywhere right now (I should have listened, Gran), and I can't help but see it in these pretty egg cups by Sophie Lou Jacobsen.
This melting ice-like candleholder reminds me of Completedworks (available at SSENSE), but for a teeny-tiny fraction of the cost. Plus, it comes in three sizes.
It's made of paper, but can support flowers? This brightly colored paper vase by Octaevo is bound to be a conversation starter at your autumn dinner parties.
Tekla, one of the coolest bedding brands, recently released a Broderie Anglaise bedding range, and it's somehow Grandma-inspired, yet still edgy.
COLOR BLOCK PATCHWORK QUILT IN PLUM/BRIGHT CORAL, TOAST
Another Gran-inspired trend that's everywhere right now? Patchwork quilts. While there are heaps of more traditional designs, this TOAST one feels like a modern take.
There's nothing quite like switching out your scents to mark the changing of the seasons, and Ambre by Diptyque is one of the best candles for autumn.
HAY KNIT COAT STAND IN BLACK, ROYAL DESIGN
In my small London flat, finding space for all my coats come the cooler season is always tricky, but this sculpted stand from HAY makes it stylish.
A rustic urn will always be a 'yes' in my book, but covered in a vibrant crackled chartreuse glaze? This super-affordable vessel could energize a whole room.
Habitat just added to its Morris & Co. collection, and the colors and patterns feel punchy and bold, and not too 'heritage'. The perfect autumnal update.
FOOTED MARBLE SERVING BOWL, H&M HOME
If the under £50 price tag for marble wasn't enough to convince me, seeing this footed bowl styled with stacks of cheese certainly sealed the deal. Birthday cake, anyone?
You know it — another candleholder! But look how sweet this bow-shape is. Yes, bows are back for festive styling, so I'm getting ahead this season.
I recently wrote about how I was seeing perforated surfaces everywhere, and then Hay released this stunning collection... too soon to say I told you so?
LARGE GLASS VASE, H&M HOME
The amber glass vases from H&M Home's latest collection have really made me rethink the 70s trend I once considered dated. Add a sculptural edge and I'm sold.
Can you ever have enough decorative boxes? When they're marble and less than £35, I don't think so. Style it on your kitchen counter, coffee table, nightstand, you name it.
Want an accent chair that's going to make a real statement in your space? This one reminds me of Eileen Gray's iconic Bibemdum Chair (but for a fraction of the cost).
DINOSAUR DESIGN LARGE SWIRLED RESIN JUG, NET-A-PORTER
I recently saw these bright blue jugs at a restaurant and they looked so cool juxtaposed against the white linen. Plus, any excuse to support an Australian brand.
Autumn is an exciting time when it comes to all things style. Predictions are revealed, trends are set, and style evolves into something more layered.
