Linda Clayton
Linda Clayton is a well-established interiors journalist with more than 25 years of experience, renowned for her insightful coverage of design trends, home makeovers, and product reviews. Her expertise spans kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, and soft furnishings, with a particular focus on practical, stylish solutions for everyday living. Linda's work has been featured in leading publications such as Ideal Home, Homes & Gardens, Livingetc, Country Homes & Interiors, Real Homes, and Woman & Home.
A graduate of Cardiff University's School of Journalism, Linda holds a First Class degree in Journalism and a Postgraduate Diploma in Magazine Journalism. Her career began in trade journalism for the kitchen and bathroom industry, laying the foundation for her mild obsession with these rooms. In 2010, she received the Bathroom Journalist of the Year Award from the Bathroom Manufacturers Association. She has also served as a judge for design awards hosted by Designer Magazine, Homes & Gardens, and Real Homes.
Based in Devon, Linda lives with her husband Nick, a cabinetmaker, their two daughters, two ponies, one dog, and a budgie named Rocky. Together, they’ve tackled four major home renovation projects, experiences that enrich her writing with hands-on insights. When she’s not interviewing designers or testing out taps, Linda loves running (for the headspace rather than physical pleasure), doing anything by or on the sea, and rustling up an epic Sunday roast. She hates the gym and any kind of offal and is a talented plant serial killer.
