I know I'm probably offending many fragrance traditionalists, but I'm just not a fan of rose-scented candles. It's a tad too powdery and almost jam-like for my taste. But that's not to say I don't appreciate floral fragrances in general.
Some of the best candles in my rotation for spring feature bloom-led notes that are a little more luxurious and definitely less on the nose (pardon the pun) for the nose. Rather than flooding your home with notes of this romantic red flower, try introducing scents like lily, freesia, peony, tulip, and honeysuckle instead.
There are even some floral fragrances to make your bedroom smell good, while catering to the space's duty to relax your senses. I'm talking jasmine, lavender, and chamomile.
But, of course, I won't leave you with a list of florals to go off. I've found some of the best floral-scented candles to help you make your home smell like spring. Take a look!
Notes: Lily of the Valley, Hyacinth, Oak Moss, Bamboo, Musk, Patchouli
My favorite finishing touch when styling a coffee table is a pretty candle to anchor it all. And my vote goes to this floral candle from Maeve.
Notes: Bergamot, Cassis, Pepper, Peony Heart, Tuberose, Vetiver, Sandalwood
I don't know about you, but I love the smell of peonies wafting through my home in spring. And since a bunch of stems can be slightly hard to come by, I think this candle will do the trick.
Notes: Tobacco Flower, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla
If you like fashion brand candles that can actually hold their own, you're going to love this Joshua Tree scent from Ralph Lauren Home.
Notes: Lily of the Valley, Amber, Rhubarb
I just love the smell of lily of the valley. However, heady white florals on their own are one of the scents to avoid at home. This candle makes a case for how balanced blends can elegantly hero the bloom.
Notes: Lavender, Tonka, Patchouli
The best bedroom fragrances are made to calm your interior ambiance. And this lavender-led candle from Plum & Ashby is a treat for when you're unwinding under the sheets.
Burn Time: 70 Hours
Designed to emulate lavender-fresh linen sheets, this Townhouse candle from Jo Malone London is another accessory to romanticize your bedtime routine.
Notes: Clary Sage, Bergamot, Lavender, Chamomile, Patchouli, Sandalwood
Does lavender help you sleep? The short answer is yes. And since it can also bring in the scent of spring, this candle needs to be on the shortlist for your bedroom's primary fragrance.
If you are into rose-scented candles, the only launch I've ever liked having in my scentscape is the Diptyque Roses Scented Candle. Layer it in with a white floral fragrance for the aromatic ambiance of an elevated English garden.
