Daydreaming about your next holiday – whenever that may be? We've found just the place; a modern, light and airy coastal home with infinity pool, direct access to the sea, and a landscape that wouldn't look out of place in a Slim Aarons photo book.

The seriously stylish, seven-bedroom, six-bathroom Kolokithi Bay property – available exclusively through The Thinking Traveller – sits on the Greek Island of Alonissos.

Perched on a slope directly above the ocean and with direct access to the translucent waters of the Aegean, Kolokithi Bay has got us dreaming of booking a summer holiday, pronto. Well, the minute that lockdown lifts, anyway.

It's not just the dreamy setting we're fawning over, the interiors are gorgeous too; floor-to-ceiling windows and large glass doors frame the spectacular views from all levels, while the interiors contrast sleek, modern furniture – including design classics from B&B Italia and Boffi – against exposed stone walls and rustic details.

There's a voluminous open-concept communal space, with an open-plan kitchen and dining area, plus an open living space with an enormous corner sofa.

Polished cement floors and lofty white-beamed vaulted ceilings run throughout the property.

The kitchen features cement touches too, including a bespoke shelving, worktop and splash-back piece.

All of the living spaces feature floor-to-ceiling picture windows that frame the gorgeous olive trees and the green, tree-carpeted surrounding hills.

The living space also flows out onto an outdoor terrace, bringing in fabulous views of the sea.

A few steps lead from the kitchen into a hallway towards the bedrooms.

Each of the seven bedrooms has a modern rustic style, with white interiors and sliding doors that open onto private terraces and balconies.

The master bedroom has large picture windows, sea views, and a glass door leading out onto a furnished private terrace.

A stone wall divides the bed from a voluptuously luxurious bathroom with tub looking out onto a walled ornamental garden, and a separate walk-in shower.

We love the way the modern details have been cleverly incorporated and contrasted with more rustic elements, from the exposed stone walls to the wood beams.

The lower ground floor is accessed externally via a wooden boardwalk. Here there is a sea-view double bedroom with en-suite shower room and private terrace, and a laundry room.

Aside from the main house, there's a garden house too,located in the grounds just a short amble from the main house. The entrance opens into a comfortably furnished living area, off which one accesses two double bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room. Stairs lead up from the living area to an open mezzanine loft, home to a twin bedroom with a small en-suite shower room.

Meanwhile the property's grounds have been landscaped to make the most of the property's seaside setting.
