The Pieces Home, located in Kennebunk, Maine, is a two storey house furnished with a whole host of vibrant decor. Brooklyn-based creative agency An Aesthetic Pursuit is behind the bold new rental property, which features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and indoor and outdoor dining spaces.

The majority of the furniture inside the 2,995-square-foot (278-square-metre) house is shoppable, too, from colourful rugs and sofas to tables and wall art. Furniture and accessories by Vitra, Jasper Morrison and Alvar Aalto can all be found inside the sleek Airbnb.

The centrepiece of the rental has to be the 60-foot-long rainbow rug which wraps itself around the first floor. Some other standout furnishings include the Dose coffee table — which is upholstered in velvet with a flush stone surface — and the Tetris planter. Even the colour shades on the walls are shoppable — so if you spot a certain shade you like, you can buy the exact one.

On the Pieces Home Instagram page, the brand posted pictures of the property with the caption, ‘We wanted to create a liveable showroom concept to showcase our point of view in one rentable, shoppable home. Our house, originally built in 1878, served as a blank canvas to be transformed into our first Pieces home.'

'Colour led the inspiration for the project, with pattern and texture coming in as key elements to round out the concept.’
