Pottery Barn Bedding Our Style Editor Has in Her Basket — 'So Soft and Dreamy!
I sifted through each and every one of Pottery Barn's bedding options. From shams to comforters, fit for both hot and cold sleepers alike, meet the stylish sleeping solutions of your dreams
I don't take my bedding decisions lightly. We spend about a third of our lives sleeping, give or take, so I see this as both a duty and a joy. I want my bed to be stylish because I have to look at it, but more importantly, I want it to be breathable and comfortable. Luckily, Pottery Barn bedding ticks all the boxes.
My initial attraction to the retailer was the ongoing Pottery Barn sale, where I first laid eyes on some truly beautiful duvets and sheets. One thing is certain: I know style, but when it comes to bedding technicalities, I thought it best to consult an expert. Enter Julia Forbes, a certified sleep science coach who knows a thing or two about getting your beauty sleep. She revealed that the key to finding the perfect bedding is actually quite straightfoward: research.
Pottery Barn offers a plethora of material and thread count options, but since individual preferences vary significantly, ‘You should also purchase bedding based on the temperature you sleep at,’ explains Julia, adding that ‘Hot sleepers will need moisture-wicking and breathable sheets like cotton and linen,’ while ‘Cold sleepers will want a material like flannel that traps heat at night.’ And thread count? Apparently, it's not as important as we think: ‘Thread count is something that you can look at too, but it is not going to make or break your bedding decision.’ What really matters is the material — the most crucial ingredient for the perfect sleep experience.
If the word ‘research’ made you yawn or roll your eyes just a moment ago, then rest assured, I've made this process as easy as possible for you. I've read the descriptions, and I'm giving you the highlights so you don't have to. Quality bedding plus great style equals a dream come true. Your sweetest dreams ever are just a scroll away.

How should I wash my bedding?
The answer to this is short, and mildly annoying: read the label!
According to Julia, ‘The best way to wash your bedding to ensure its longevity is to follow its specific care instructions. All bedding is different so there is not one way to wash it to ensure it lasts longer. If you follow its specific instructions, that is the highest chance you have of making your bedding last,' she explains.
