To be fair, we're still getting quite excited about Habitat’s Black Friday sale, so it might seem a bit early to be thinking about next year.

However, the forward thinking modern furniture, lighting and accessories  brand, originally launched by Sir Terence Conran in 1964, has just revealed its designs for next year and it has us planning how to decorate already.

The iconic design brand was bought by the Sainsburys and Argos family a few years ago, and is soon to be found up and down the country as well as in its three existing stand-alone shops in London’s Westfield, Brighton, and Leeds.

‘We are excited to bring Habitat’s authenticity and identity to a wider audience across the UK, making it available to everyone on a larger scale so that more customers than ever will have access to well-designed homeware and modern furniture,’ says Rona Olds, Head of Product, Home and Furniture. ‘We have harnessed the brand’s unique heritage – keeping quality and excellent design at its core – while bringing it into the future of British retail.’

The spring/summer 2021 collection comprises Habitat’s signature artistic, contemporary aesthetic across everything from sofas to side plates.

The Artisan range is both subtle and statement-making, focusing on calming, handcrafted materials and soft forms. The modern homeware pieces are characterised by natural textures and an earthy palette, from steam bent timber headboards and seating to woven room divider screens and rattan lighting, as well as tufted textiles and unrefined ceramics, in a palette of neutrals accented with black.
