Meet the judges
Our panel was made up of Livingetc editor Pip McCormac, Livingetc Editorial Director Sarah Spiteri, Livingetc columnists and interior designers Linda Boronkay and Minnie Kemp and fashion stylist legend Lucinda Chambers. Spending the day together at London's Ham Yard Hotel, they look at each entry individually, judging it on its own merits, to compile a list of the most covetable and well-designed home products available to buy today.
Great design can make people happy, and over the last year, creating a space that enhances and nurtures our physical and mental wellbeing has been more important than ever. From the colour of our walls to the sofa we sit on and the mug that holds our morning coffee, we’ve truly appreciated that the products we choose can have a huge effect on the way we feel. This was the thinking behind the first ever annual Livingetc Style Awards, a way of highlighting the pieces and products that exude style, all filled with the potential to make your home a more wonderful place to live. With entries ranging from big statement items of furniture to tabletop accessories, from brand new launches to enduring classics, the edit you see here showcases the very best. Faced with so much to choose from, our judges have chosen to award some extra prizes to Design Icons - those products which aren’t new but which still feel fresh and exciting - and Wise Buys, for pieces that are more affordable, but no less magical. Proof that style comes in many shapes and sizes.
