I'm a total beginner when it comes to all things gardening-related, but having recently moved into a new house with my own backyard, I'm on a mission to discover the best tips and tricks to make the space look good without too much effort. And my favorite cheat code so far? Neptune's wicker planters with removable liners.
I always thought water and wicker would spell disaster, but rather than potting plants directly into the planters, the removable chrome-coated zinc liners mean that re-potting and watering plants is fuss-free. Plus, it can help with plant health by reducing rot and allowing for good drainage, and they're way easier to move around than planters with fixed inners.
Of course, it goes without saying that the best outdoor planters need to look stylish and be functional, and the ones I have my eye on to get my garden spring-ready are from Neptune. Sleek in design and available in different styles and sizes, they would work well in pretty much any outdoor space, and all of them feature removable inners. Below, you can shop my favorites among them.
The natural wicker material on this planter adds warmth and texture to gardens and patios. There are three different sizes to choose from, and again, the removable liner is made from zinc and features drainage holes along with clever hidden feet that stop the wicker from getting damp and handles for easy transportation.
This wicker planter has a modern feel with its sleek design, making it a good option for urban garden ideas, and comes in two different sizes to suit different plant types (or your garden size). The material is durable enough to withstand outdoor use, and the removable inner, which is made from galvanised metal, makes planting and watering fuss-free.
Bringing blooms inside the home is perhaps the best spring decorating idea, and the Littleton collection has lots of stylish options. This one is oval-shaped, but there are also square, rectangular, and round styles, all of which feature handy removable liners to keep your home mess-free.
Looking for more options? (Perhaps something more affordable.) Below, you can shop a range of stylish wicker and woven planters from different brands, offering varying styles to best suit your garden design and available outdoor space.
These rattan planters come as a set of two, one smaller and one larger. The square shape feels fitting for modern garden ideas, and is an especially stylish choice for patios. Similar to the Neptune ones, there's a hidden lining inside, and it is also elevated off the ground with feet made from mahogany.
Or, if you prefer the classic look of this round planter, go for this rattan one, which can be used both outdoors and indoors, allowing versatility throughout the seasons. Much like the set of square planters, this one is also slightly raised from the ground and is plastic-lined.
This taller rattan planter (which is on sale right now) has an understated design that feels effortlessly modern and stylish. The plastic inner of this one cleverly goes all the way to the ground to protect the rattan material, which is also weather-resistant.
Also on sale right now, this rattan planter is on wheels to allow for easy transportation around your patio or decking, while also protecting it from the ground. It is also lined with plastic that has useful drainage holes, ensuring functionality and style.
