Curated Finds for Rebecca — Island Stools
A personalised edit of timeless yet refined kitchen stools, chosen to bring warmth, character and effortless style to your space.
Dear Rebecca,
Inspired by your brief, I have curated a personalised edit of bar stools with a mix of styles and price points so you can explore a good variety of options.
You are absolutely right about the Fayth Counter Stool by Amber Lewis x Four Hands. It is such a timeless and refined piece, and unfortunately not available in the UK. Your kitchen is beautifully designed, and the material choices work so well together. The palette also gives you room to be a little more playful with the stools while still keeping that timeless and elevated look you are after.
I have included different wood tones, textures and finishes inspired by the style you shared. They are not identical, as the Fayth is a unique design, and while there are copies on the market, we always prefer to champion original pieces and thoughtful design. There are many beautiful options here, and with your eye for interiors I am sure you will land on something perfect for your space.
Enjoy your curated edit, and I look forward to hearing which pieces you are most drawn to.
Warmly,
Your stylist | Iokasti
This option feels charming and full of warmth. The solid teak frame gives it substance, while the vintage-inspired detailing adds softness and character. The upholstered seat makes it feel comfortable and inviting, which is always important in a kitchen where people naturally gather. I can see this working beautifully with your shaker cabinetry and brass details.
Inspired by the Fayth tool, I had a feeling you may be drawn to rope textures, so I wanted to include this version as well. It has the same lovely shape as the upholstered style, but the rope seat gives it a lighter and more relaxed feel. Both are beautiful, it really depends whether you want something softer and more classic, or something a little more airy and textural.
This is definitely not an ordinary stool. It brings personality and presence to a kitchen, and feels like the kind of piece people would immediately notice. The curved back is shaped beautifully for comfort, and the design has that rare balance of being bold yet timeless. One of my favourites in the edit.
The reason I chose this one is the price point. It comes in much lower than your budget, but still gives a similar relaxed and natural look to some of the higher priced woven styles. Of course the difference comes down to craftsmanship and finish, but I thought it was worth showing as a smart option that still looks great.
This one has such an interesting silhouette. The upholstered finish gives it a refined softness, while the shape feels playful and a little unexpected. If you are open to introducing pattern or texture, this could be a really fun way to bring personality into the kitchen.
A more classic direction, but still very refined. This stool feels elegant, comfortable and quietly luxurious. Soho Home pieces often have that relaxed polished look, and I can absolutely picture these in your kitchen. It really comes down to whether this style feels like you.
