Must-see artists event at Anthropologie London

Trained at Central St Martin’s and influenced by generations of familial porcelain producers, the French artist has become known for her humorous bum drawings and colourful mixed media work.

Her unique brand of art will be on show, including handmade pastel-hued ceramic plates, beautifully embroidered chairs and one-of-a-kind paintings, alongside six exclusive Anthropologie X Laetitia Rouget T-shirt designs.

See our edit of patterned plates here.

During her residency, Laetitia will be transforming the gallery into her very own studio, creating beautiful masterpieces live and hosting an array of workshops.

Laetitia grew up in France surrounded by ceramics. Both of her parents were working as porcelain manufacturers, which was a huge inspiration to her love of craft. After moving to London to study at Central St Martins, Laetitia’s career in fashion soon evolved into playing with different mediums such as pottery, print, textile and paint.

From her East London studio, the designer creates rebellious and vibrant pieces which are often inspired by West African textiles and taboo subjects, ranging from bum drawings to quirky vases.

Sustainability is also at the heart of her work. Hating waste, she embraces materials such as recycled wooden frames and bottles.

To celebrate her colourful work, Anthropologie has created a collection of six exclusive T-shirts featuring designs from the artist.

The playful styles and quirky concepts within Laetitia’s work means they translate beautifully from art to apparel.
