COLLAB ALERT: JOHN LEWIS X swoon

John Lewis & Partners has collaborated with Swoon on a debut 24-piece collection that drops in 11 stores across the UK today.

If you like to 'try before you buy', now is your chance to see the online furniture retailer's beautiful designs in the 'flesh', as they are let loose from behind the screen and onto the John Lewis shop floor.

Designed by Swoon's in-house design studio, and manufactured by John Lewis, the furniture collection takes its influence from modernist architecture, Art Deco design and mid-century style.

From statement storage, smart occasional tables and bar trolleys that will make entertaining that bit easier to an armchair that is a minimalist's ticket to lovely lounging, the collection features elegant pieces that will elevate the home to new heights.

The upholstered furniture includes sofas and armchairs, in sumptuous velvets in beautiful rich jewels colours and pretty pale tones, and features classic buttoning and chic piping details.

David Barrett, John Lewis Living & Dining Buyer, comments'Exciting designs and unique pieces have been created with interesting colours and substrates for homeowners to add personality to their schemes. Swoon developed the inspirations and designs of the collection, and we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure the quality of the products is what you'd expect from us, partnered with forward thinking designs from them.'

Is this the first step from clicks to bricks for one of our favourite design-led online furniture retailers? We certainly hope so..
