"I Always Make This Swap in a Small Bedroom" — An Interior Stylist on Why She Changes Out Bedside Tables That Are Blocking 'Flow'
Avoid too many harsh lines in a small space and opt for softer, circular bedroom furniture instead, interior stylist Becca Cullum-Green explains
Styling a small bedroom to maximize the space on offer is no easy task. But, it’s the subtle design decisions that will make the biggest difference. As an interior stylist, it’s important for me to choose key pieces of furniture that not only look good and adhere to certain trends, but also don’t disrupt the flow of a room. Bedside tables are a staple for most as they offer a designated space to store bedtime essentials— books, loose jewellery and perhaps even a sentimental photo frame.
Whether you require ample bedside storage, or just enough to have somewhere to rest your phone overnight, round bedside tables are the best choice for bedrooms that lack in size. In fact, I almost always make this swap in a small bedroom.
With tiny bedrooms, the corners of the room can feel very present and stark. The last thing you want to do is to add more corners to the mix with a square or rectangular bedside table. Instead, opting for circular designs will work wonders in breaking up the linear space and will allow the design to flow and follow the natural curvature.

Can't quite put your finger on why your small bedroom isn't flowing nicely? It may be as simple as swapping out your bedside tables. These sleek circular designs are all great choices that would either bring a classic or modern edge to your bedroom. Choose one that suits you and your bedroom storage needs.
