Inspired by your brief, and taking into account the limitations you’re working with, I’ve curated both the office cabinet and lighting options.
For the cabinet, I focused on pieces that fit within your dimensions, sit on legs to keep things feeling lighter (and practical for the carpet), and tie in naturally with the walnut tones you already have. For the lighting, I kept everything close to the ceiling with flush and semi-flush options that should sit comfortably in the space while still adding a bit of structure.
It’s always slightly trickier without seeing the room, but these are designed to feel balanced, bring in some softness, and hopefully give you a clear direction to work with.

OFFICE STORAGE CABINETS
The Hatton sideboard brings a softer take on modern design. The subtle curvature in the legs gives it a lighter, more inviting feel, which works especially well in a narrower room. If you’re open to mixing warmer wood tones, this introduces a gentle contrast while still sitting comfortably alongside your existing walnut chair.
This is a more classic mid-century direction. The walnut finish ties in seamlessly with your existing chair which will create a more cohesive look, while the elevated legs keep it feeling light and practical for everyday use (especially with the carpet).
This one leans slightly more contemporary (but super chic). The grooved detailing adds texture without overwhelming the piece, and at 100cm wide, it’s a great compact option that still allows for amount of generous storage. The brass handles introduce a subtle modern contrast, making it feel a bit more refined.
The vintage option brings a completely different kind of depth. This 1970s piece has that one-of-a-kind quality you don’t get with new furniture and with more character and a sense of history. It’s ideal if you want the room to feel more personal and layered, rather than purely “put together.”
SEMI-FLUSH PENDANT LIGHTS
