These 3 New Surface Launches From Sapienstone Are Setting the Mood for Design for 2026

While these fresh styles might each bring something different to a design, they all bring a sense of story to interiors

Design and architecture in 2026 is all about creating spaces that have narrative — a story that brings how we live, work, and play in a room to life. And that’s exactly what Sapienstone’s latest surface launches deliver.

Part of Iris Ceramic Group, Sapienstone has brought three new designs to market in 2026, each pulling inspiration from natural stone that each tells a different story and brings a different sense of theatrical character to a scheme. From the classically sophisticated Travessa, to the bold and complex Breccia Rosa 4D, to the subtle but elegant Muschelkalk, these are ceramic surface designs that can play both a supporting role and take centre stage in the story of your home.

Which works for your scheme? Well, that’s for you to decide, but first you need to get to know the players better.

Travessa

Inspired by travertine, perhaps one of the most instantly recognisable natural stones in the world, this surface has a creamy palette of warm neutrals, from ivory through to hazelnut. It feels soft on the eyes, but still with that luxurious feel that makes a statement. Specify it in Sapienstone’s Natural finish, and you even get an authentic experience of the Travertine material, but captured in clever ceramic technology.

Breccia Rosa 4D

Pink marbles are a continuing trend in design, but Breccia Rosa 4D takes inspiration from a more nuanced type of marble, Breccia Pernice, that elevates the style through a sophisticated palette. A grown-up antiqued pink at its base, Breccia Rosa 4D introduces terracotta and powder tones that still gives this colour star power in your home, but softens it, and helps it blend in to a more elevated design scheme.

4D technology ensures the pattern is rich and true throughout the slab, while its Cashmere finish gives the surface a velvety softness you’ll want to touch.

Muschelkalk

Perhaps the most earthy and raw of the three launches, Muschelkalk takes its inspiration from sedimentary limestone in central Europe. A richly detailed surface that flows beautifully over large expanses, this design captures beiges, greys and browns in a soft tonal composition that mimics natural sedimentary deposition.

Muschelkalk is available in the Natural finish, giving it the tactility of natural stone, both to the eye and to the touch.
