6 luxury celebrity bathrooms to steal on-trend design ideas from
Bathroom need an update? If you're looking to give it some star power, look to the A-list for the latest trends and on-point schemes. Celebrity bathrooms are a great place for interior design inspiration and, thanks to Instagram, are more accessible than ever.
Kendall Jenner recently revealed her stunning LA mansion, inviting Architectural Digest inside to look around. Jenner spent a year working with interior designers to achieve her peaceful home, filled with neutral tones and organic textures.
It was the bathroom (featuring a gleaming gold standalone bath) that really caught the attention of Kendall’s 135 million Instagram followers. Research by Victorian Plumbing found that her post featuring the bathroom received more than three million likes, making it one of her most popular Instagram posts to date.

If Kendall’s bathroom has given you some serious interior inspiration, bathroom planner George Holland is on hand to help. He's taken six celebrity bathrooms and revealed how you can incorporate elements of their luxurious designs into your own space; all without breaking your budget.
1. KENDALL JENNER'S GOLD, WHITE AND TEAL BATHROOM
If you can't decide between blue and green for your bathroom colour scheme, then teal is the way to go. This versatile colour adds depth and warmth and pairs perfectly with 2020's top bathroom trends such as brass fittings and marble (swipe through the Instagram photos to reveal Kendall Jenner's bathroom).
Get the look: Steal Kendall's style by picking a square tile with a glossy finish in a deep blue-green teal. Pair this contemporary tile shape with white grout to make a feature out of the pattern, or for another Instagrammable trend, why not take a look at golden glitter grout? The deep teal green works beautifully with the brass fittings, vanity mirror and marble sink top. Why not incorporate elements of Kendall's beautiful bathroom into your own with teal-coloured towels, brass-coloured drawer pulls and marble toothbrush and soap holder?

2. JOHN LEGEND AND CHRISSY TEIGEN'S WALNUT AND SLATE STYLING
Trends come and go, but natural hues will always feel relaxing and peaceful. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s bathroom incorporates a walnut vanity, grey slate tiles and a heavy marble bench - all natural materials built to last a lifetime.
There are plenty of woods that can be used in a bathroom, but walnut is the most popular A-list choice. It’s luxurious and expensive-looking, but it is also durable. It’s smooth to the touch, low maintenance as it doesn’t require polishing or oiling and it’s not damaged by water or humid environments, meaning this will be a long-lasting investment in your home.
Get the look: Floor-to-ceiling tiles make a very striking design statement. Tiles can make a small or awkward space feel larger; as the eye is drawn up towards the ceiling giving the illusion of space. Not only can tiles reflect the natural light, they completely protect the room from damp, humidity and moisture.

3. DAKOTA JOHNSON'S MID-CENTURY MODERN SANCTUARY
This peaceful space features natural, raw textures and materials everywhere you look. From the custom cabinets to the concrete countertops, Dakota's bathroom ticks all of the boxes. The his-and-hers sinks are opposite sides of the freestanding bath, so there's no need to clash elbows or wait your turn to use the sink. Speaking to Architectural Digest, Dakota revealed that separate sinks are the key to a healthy relationship.
Get the look: A statement bath speaks volumes, so make your tub the focal point with the Alps Modern Roll Top. A clean and classic silhouette means almost everything will match and complement this roll top bath. To recreate Dakota's dreamy bathroom look, add a Cruze Freestanding Bath Tap. Not only do these taps look stunning, you can install them almost anywhere, giving so much more flexibility when deciding where to place your bath.

4. BROOKLYN DECKER'S MODERN VINTAGE BATHROOM
This bathroom is the perfect place to unwind, with a breathtaking walk-in shower surrounded by white wood paneling and off-white tiles. The large Crittall-style glass doors make the shower the focal point of the room. The timeless white tiles show off the elegant brass shower head and make the dark marble sink stand out.
Get the look: This bathroom mixes a whole range of natural and locally sourced materials like the pine dresser, granite flooring and marble sink. Try this look for yourself by sourcing vintage wooden furniture and accessories and breathing new life into them by sanding away layers of old varnish and a lick of protective wood oil.

5. MAGGIE GYLLENHALL'S ROUGH-LUXE LOOK
Maggie's bathroom features an incredible wooden bath, made out of teak. This is a real statement piece. The bath is surrounded by dark tiled walls, giving this bathroom a cosy and intimate feel. This bathroom taps into the rough-luxe trend; fusing together the smooth clean lines of the wooden bath, with the exposed pipework under the skin and original flooring.
Get the look: Whilst a wooden bath might not be practical, you can achieve a similar rough-luxe effect by using wood-look porcelain tiles around the bath or even accessories made out of dark-stained wood. Exposed pipework can be tricky if you live in a modern house, but you can achieve a similar industrial effect with the fixtures and fittings you choose for the shower sink.

6. AARON PAUL'S MODERN RUSTIC CHIC
This stunning bathroom fuses together soft furnishings with harder materials to create an unfussy yet elegant mood. The deep free-standing concrete bath is surrounded by soft voile curtains to filter any harsh lighting and provide privacy and a sheepskin rug in place of a bath mat completes the look.
Get the look: This look is easy to achieve with just a few line-softening accessories. Floor-length voile curtains can be hung next to even the smallest bathroom windows to diffuse the natural light and softer accessories like rugs can be added to help recreate this simple, minimalist bathroom look.

TOP TIPS FOR CREATING A LUXURY, CELEBRITY-WORTHY BATHROOM:
Planning a celebrity inspired bathroom but not sure where to start? Whether you’re designing a pastel-hued haven or a contemporary Scandi- inspired bathroom, these tips from George Holland will help you to organise and plan your bathroom redesign.
CREATE A DIGITAL MOODBOARD
When planning your bathroom makeover, you need to have a clear vision in your mind of what you would like to achieve, otherwise the room can end up looking a bit cluttered and mismatched.
A moodboard is the perfect tool to keep your project on track, plus you’ll be able to see all of your patterns, colours and textures together in one place. There are special digital moodboard tools you can use, but Pinterest is one of my favourites.
Simply create a board and start pinning your bathroom inspiration to it. The more you use Pinterest, the more it will learn what you like and will start suggesting similar images for you to pin to your board.
Instagram is another tool you can use for moodboard organisation. Using their new ‘Save to Collection’ function, you can save imagery to virtual boards, so you can digitally manifest your dream bathroom design.
FOCUS ON STORAGE TO REDUCE CLUTTER
Celebrity bathrooms are generally clutter-free and they owe that to plenty of clever, hidden storage. Plan where you will store your shower gel and skincare; this can be as simple as buying some baskets to keep everything neat and tidy on a shelf, to investing in some multi-functional storage such as a mirrored bathroom cabinet or a set of drawers.
STICK TO NEUTRAL TONES WITH POPS OF COLOUR
Whilst it might be tempting to stick to greys and whites when it comes to decorating a bathroom, adding a pop of colour can really elevate the room. Maybe your shower tiles or sink backsplash can feature some contrasting colours, or even your storage baskets.
If you want to add some seriously bright colours, but feel a bit unsure, then updating your accessories is a good way to test this out. Teal green towels and matte black storage against a mainly white bathroom can look really effective.
ACCESSORIES WITH STATEMENT PIECES
You often see celebrity bathrooms featuring statement pieces such as sculptures, a standalone bath or plush soft seating. If you can’t stretch to a sculpture, or don’t have the space for an armchair, you might be able to get the same effect with some framed artwork, prints or even wall hangings to add some interest to your space.
DON'T FOLLOW EVERY CELEBRITY TREND
Unless you want to be updating your bathroom on a regular basis, it’s worth steering clear of very obvious trends such as bold patterns and crazy colours. Try and stick to timeless classics that won’t date, and let the trend shine through your accessories and decoration. After all, it is much easier to update some artwork and storage baskets, than it is to re-tile a wall.
