Explore Calvin Harris' stunning Hollywood mansion

Unsurprisingly, it was the perfect party pad.

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris has just sold his Hollywood Hills home, giving us a glimpse at his surprisingly stylish interiors.

The sleek L.A. compound boasts 4,100 square feet of main living space as well as a separate two-story 2,000 square foot detached guesthouse with private recording studio, and an outdoor pool with a convenient wet bar, not to mention breathtaking views over Hollywood.

The world’s-highest-paid DJ, Calvin Harris, originally listed the four-bedroom, six-bathroom property for sale for £7.7 million in January 2016, but had since been renting it out until it finally sold at the reduced price of £5million.

Inside, the open-concept living space includes a spacious living room with a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The building may date back to the 1940s, but the interior has been extensively updated, while still incorporating some characterful period touches, including the 18-foot high wooden beamed ceiling, original fireplace and statement chandelier, as well as original wood floors.

We imagine the outdoor pool area was perfect for hosting parties.

The guest house opens onto a private decking area outside, ideal for dining alfresco.

The guest house also houses a private recording studio with soundproof walls. It's currently filled with a range of guitars and relaxing sofas – presumably for taking time out between recording sessions.

Wooden decking wraps around the entire house, flowing between the various terrace spaces and swimming pool.

The 36-year-old has amassed an impressive property portfolio over the past few years; he also owns a second Hollywood Hills mansion, plus a ten-bedroom Beverly Hills home, and another £10.6million property in Bel-Air.

He's been shopping in the UK too; in 2016, Calvin Harris reportedly spent £2.3 million on a five-bedroom Somerset house for his parents to relocate to from the family home – a bit of an upgrade since apparently buying his mother a new vacuum cleaner with the first money he earned from making music.

The property was listed for sale on Realtor.com.
