Falcon's new cool and colourful enamelware
The warm weather, the longer days, thoughts of an endless summer stretching ahead. Yep it's time to head out and enjoy the great outdoors again.
So whether you have a penchant for festivals, camping by the beach, picnics in the park or just al fresco dining in the garden, it's worth investing in some unbreakable dinner and serveware. Particularly, when it's attractive enough to use indoors, all year round, too.
Classic enamelware brand, Falcon, famous for its distinctive white with a blue rim mugs and baking trays has just introduced two new limited edition colours for the spring season – as well as these beautiful salad bowls, which will be available online from 1 May 2019.
One of the new colours is Oyster Grey, a fresh staple neutral, which compliments the established Classic Blue & White and Pigeon Grey shades.
The subtle grey on grey contrasting rim makes a smart addition to the table – and when the 3-pint jug is used as a vase – allows the contents to stand out - be it a colourful bunch of Spring daffodils or tulips.
Emma Young, Creative Director + Co-Founder of Falcon Enamelware, comments 'The name was inspired by the steeped history and heritage of eating oysters in Britain. The colour itself is also reminiscent of the pearly greys found on an oyster shell.'
She adds, 'In contrast, our other new colour, ‘Spring Green’ is a lively addition to the Falcon ranges, inspired by Spring green recipes that emerge this time of year. The enamel finish lends the colour an intense luminosity in the correct light but it can also appear subdued against a similar tone background.'

The new colours are currently available in Falcon's tumbler and mini tumbler ranges, and will be available on the 3-pint jugs later in the Spring.
Enamelware is porcelain fused onto heavy-gauge steel, giving it durability, smoothness and chemical-resistance. If you drop it, it won’t break. It's dishwasher-safe and oven-safe up to 530F / 270C, and it can also be used on gas and electric hobs.
Originally manufactured in the Black Country area near Birmingham, England, Joe Kleiner & Sons created the original enamelware brand, distinctively ice-white with the blue rim, the classic design is still instantly recognisable to this day.
