Jimmie Martin, is renowned for graffiti-inspired wallpaper, eclectic one-off pieces and innovative design.
He developed a passion for upcycling during his childhood; often spending his pocket money in auction houses and junk shops. So when he and his partner Rick moved into a rented flat in north London he was ready with lots of speedy tricks.
Boards mounted with
Jimmie Martin wallpaper were propped up in the living room; reupholstered sofas were covered in black velvet and gold paint; and personal treasures, snapped up from local auction houses, were displayed on the walls.
'It's a mix of baroque hunting lodge, with skulls, hides and ornate pieces, and there's a slight military feel with the trunks and spears,' Jimmie says.
