Thanks to this website I now have an unhealthy addiction to designer chairs! We have just taken delivery of a poor man's version of the Panton S chair and I am squirreling money away for a set of Kartell Louis/Victoria Ghost chairs for the dining room.
My son has just had his first birthday and I was thinking of using some of the money he got to buy a child size Eames rocker for his bedroom as I have seen various other designer chairs in mini sizes. But I can't find one. Anyone got any ideas?

A US company called Room and Board do them, but I am not sure of their international shipping policy:

It also appears to be licensed by Herman Miller. If you want to have a lookey likey, either because it's cheaper or because you don't want a future heirlook decimated by small hands there's this, again from the US...

If neither store do international delivery, I have recently used a drop ship company called shopanyamericanstore.com who will buy on your behalf and ship to the UK. Beware thought that customs and taxes may push the price up considerably as it is a sizeable piece of furniture, and also that if there are problems on arrival it may be awkward to try and send it back.
I have yet to find a UK distributor of the mini rockers which is a shame. However, my son who is 3 has always sat on our full sized ones with no problem and they are always going to have the best longevity as kids do grow!!
Hope this helps!

Hiya
Vitra tends to sell through a chain of dealers & shops - if you look on their website you can find a list of local dealers in your area which might help.
The Lollipop Shoppe in Brighton do Eames stuff but I don't see the childs rocker, but if you ask them they may be able to order it in for you

What a lovely idea though they'll be able to keep it and then pass it onto their children ( a family heirloom). Providing they don't trash it of course.

I haven't seen a child's one but I also think this is a lovely idea - get 'em started early on loving designer furniture!
I have however come across a great site called Molly-Meg http://molly-meg.co.uk which has an amazing range of vintage design classic chairs for little ones and recently saw them in the flesh at Mid Century Modern in Dulwich.
They weren't super expensive either and we're really cute so it's definitely well worth having a look at the site.

If you are looking for a vintage design classic chairs for little ones, I think the best thing you can do is search in eBay or Amazon. I'm sure that there have a product that you want.

Little Nest is a company who specialize in child-sized reproductions of modern classics. They don't do an Eames style rocker but they do have a molded plywood chair based on the LCW chair and also an adorable Eames lounge chair.
The only other Eames style chair I have seen for kids is an original from the 1940's. You can see it at daddytypes
Hope this helps
