LivingEtc: How do I post a basic no frills message?

There are two ways to make a post (a message) but first you need to register as a new user or ensure that you are logged in.

To make a new thread (a string of messages):

1) Go to the main index and select the forum that you want to place your thread in by clicking on the forum name.

2) Click on Post in the forum index navigation bar.

3) Complete the Subject window with a descriptive heading (remember a well written Subject will assist other users to respond to your message).

4) Place your message in the Post window. To get a space between paragraphs click on your keyboard return key twice.

5) Click Continue to post your message.

To place a post (an answering message in this case) against an existing thread:

1) go to the thread that you want to place your post in and click on the post that you want to comment about or answer.

2) click on Reply, Quick Reply or Quote in the post's window (Quick Reply gives you a fast way of responding without any of the options in the full Reply window and Quote automatically pastes the full text of the post to which you are replying in the Post window ).

3) Complete the Subject window with a descriptive heading (remember a well written Subject will assist other users to respond to your message), or leave it with the default message that appears.

4) Place your message in the Post window. To get a space between paragraphs click on your keyboard return key twice.

5) Click Continue to post your message.
