This is not usually my cup of tea, but I could not help myself from buying them. It is a set of four dining chairs from the late 1950 early 1960, a period I normally do not find attractive, but,......

It is amazing what some new fabric can do, almost like a new nicely tailored dress for a mature lady

I used Alcantara, it looks and feels like suede leather, and I feel that it makes all the difference in this case Hope you like it

They look more refined now - and I am quite envious of such a practical (and probaly comfortable) solution for extra seats when having friends for dinner. I usually got to ask a friendly neighbour.

Hi Rhineblaze,
Thank you, and yes it has it perks to have such skills.
However, these chairs will not remain in my household, I am planning to put them up for sale. Retro furniture is very hot at the moment, so I expect to collect a nice little surplus from the sale. The fabric alone is £80 pr yard, so I have invested as well as improved.

well then: bonne chance. I wondered when I saw them as they are not really in tune wiht your place. Since they are foldable I thought they are for guests... hmmm, I first need 2 simple tables from IKEA (the simple table tops with screw on legs) for a properr dinner party. Guess at some points chairs might have to follow. But even the tables might be put of for a while as I am currently pining for a Chandelier for my bed room.
