Wow - that's amazing. Do you think you will ever completely fill it??! It looks extremely well made and I love that you added space for boxes underneath. When are you going to install a comfy chair and table so you can open a bottle and drink it secretly?!!

Thanks for your response JuliaB, had another five cases delivered the other day so it is getting filled gradually! Chair and table are in the design process already!

Looks very organised and impressive! I LOVE Louis Roederer champagne, the rosé is my fave.

Now THAT is impressive and looks like it was incredibly labour intensive!!! Hey know where I can get some wooden wine crates Kevy lol! Been trying to get hold of some for ages.

An impressive display of skill, there! It looks great, even as someone who doesn't drink!
EngineMonkey, it used to be that you could walk into any wine merchant and ask for the crates and they would be only too happy to give them to you. I expect some of the bigger ones might still oblige or would charge you a small amount for them. Worth trying. I note that some sellers on ebay are now "specialising" in the old wooden apple crates, since Pedlars, etc, have been selling them as storage solutions, but both ebay and Pedlars charge a lot for them IMHO.

That's amazing. Well done! I imagine getting this custom made from a cellar fitter would have cost 4-5x as much. How long did it take you? I'm so jealous; I want a cellar (perhaps I can drill through into the apartment downstairs? )
You have to keep us posted on how your develop your wine room. Presume it has no windows? I can see this being a remarkable 'clubby' drinking den. Throw some wingback Parker Knolls in there, a nice fireplace and perhaps a walk-in humidor while you're at it... *v. jealous now!*
Also thanks for bringing up the wine crates everyone. I imagine a really nice feature wall could be made from the end/top logo panels... that or framing them would make a really elegant piece of wall art too.
