I like that one - but you will have to dress it with cushions - as neck crick whilst really relaxing will no doubt incur

and refering back to another conversation - I have just placed a order for 6 arnie 7 chairs in white ash The non glossy wood grain will go very nicely with the hopefully refurbed soon aalto table and the plans we have for a very long sideboard/bookcase (ie ikea wall mounted kitchen cabinets but placed on legs with ikea cut to order wooden beech worktops)

Morning all, just a quick hello. Hope everyone is well... Griffo and LS, sorry to hear about your mum but really pleased that she is on the mend. Griffo, liking the sofa search...my sis is doing the same at the moment and it's [****] trying to get one that will go through her tiny doors!!
So glad the hot weather has finally broken here in London.
Griffo...I bought my Summer present...an Eames house bird!!! Hasn't arrived yet but hopefully on the way soon! (and that other yellow chair was the one that J had already sold; he just didn't update the site - poo!)

Helloooooo Eames and welcome back my lovely!!
Thank you, our mother is fine. Whinging and being stubborn but nothing new there.... It will be turning into "SOFAGATE" ! LOL! The last two I linked to on "Love your home for less" are available in charcoal grey! YAY! They mailed me the different configurations and sizes and there is a rather large version of the white one which would fit our space rather well......may just be the one......!?? It's free delivery and if you don't like it within five days you can send it back and get a full refund!!!!

Griffo, if you're coming to London on a sofa hunt, you have to go to Harrods - i was there today and they had an awesome range of modulars. Not cheap though. Dwell in Selfridges had a couple that were surprisingly nice considering they weren't that expensive.

Hello AO, thankyou for your lovely welcome back! Yes, from the dimensions the Eames bird does seem bigger than I imagined. I think it will go in the living room, amongst my other carp - LOL! I think I will have a dilemma whether to throw away the official box or not. I already have several Monica cupboards in my house - eek!
Life is abit up and down still...as it will be,of course, but I've really missed you all and I am sure my mum would approve of me being amongst friends...:)
Griffo, have you secretly won the lottery??????

I am jealous of your sofa quest griffo. I kind of have a sofa quest of my own, but it is dependent on finding something that looks gorgeous yet OH and kids can't ruin - not quite such a glamorous search! I thought I'd found the perfect thing the other day, a gorgeous Ercol number (not the usual studio couch, a Princess sofa) with removable cover... then the laptop was out of action and I couldn't bloody bid on it! Mind you, I am a bit premature really. Need to get fireplaces in and decorated before introducing a new sofa. Sigh. I have so run out of steam on the house.
