Re-upholsters in Bristol wanted
      #70812 - 26/06/2009 14:45

I have two lovely old dining chairs I want re-upholstered but am having no luck in finding reputable furniture re-upholsters in Bristol - does anyone know any worth contacting? I would prefer to do business with a sole trader rather than a big company...any ideas?

Hi vintageverity, I haven't used this person myself (yet) but have seen her work and she has been recommended to me by another forum member:

Her name is Nora, mob: 07896164678

If you want to check out her work in advance, some of it can be seen in the small antique shop in Alma Road (behind Clifton Down Sainsbury's).

There is also a guy called MD Williams who works in a workshop behind the antiques shop on North View by the Downs. Again, haven't checked out his work, but he is very friendly and helpful. Possibly a bit more traditional in his approach.

Thanks I will check her out! These upholsterers are terrible at marketing themselves! x VV
