Unique Storage Solution for My CD Collection?

Hello all,

I want to find a unique and novelty way of storing and displaying my CD collection. I'm looking to house around 250ish. I thought about using an large, old battered suitcase opened out with the CDs stacked upon each other, but I'm not sure and would appreciate any other suggestions.

What about old rustic wooden wine crates stacked on their sides?
A friend of mine had a few of these in his house for general storage and they looked fab. A good talking point too when people come round!!!
