This artwork has been created using a multiple layer screenprint technique, on a hand painted artists canvas which has been stretched over a wooden frame.

Based on an image from an edition of the Cambridge Encyclopedia of Astronomy, which was originally drawn with black lines on a white background. It presents exactly 100 successive pulses from the first discovered pulsar. A version of this was later adopted by the manchester band joy division for their 'unknown pleasures' album.

The waveforms are a blend of metal filings which have been mixed in a clear resin base, and have been overprinted several times using a screenprint technique in order to create a relief style effect afforded by the heavy ink build up - This looks nothing short of stunning, especially in direct light.

Any work i sell is hand produced of the gallery standard. i do not inferior inkjet printed canvases.
