Summerly greetings from Southern Finland! We've just renovated our whole 1950's appartment: basically we started by ripping off three (!) layers of different kinds of floor materials, hammered down the kitchen and old brick walls and added lots of white paint! And my dream of a whitish wooden floor became true

The kitchen stool is Alvar Aalto's original design K65, but can be found, e.g., from Artek, although no idea who sells it in the U.K, sorry. Hope this helps anyway!

I love the 2 brown leather chairs with chunky throws/blankets in the top set of pictures. Do you mind me asking where they're from? I'm on a quest for the perfect chair.

Hi! I'm sorry but I have to dissappoint you by saying that I found our leather chair laying abondoned next to our litter box. But I hope you'll find your perfect one! However, the blanket is from IKEA.

This is so beautiful! But even in the before pictures you can see it had lots and lots of potential. What a beautiful view of the trees through the window - ready made art!!!
We also have the Ikea triangel rug (the black and white one) and it's so lovely to see it in someone else's house! Well done on creating a fabulous home x

Aaah this is lovely, its so stylish it hurts!! Well done, I bet you never want to leave the apartment. I too love those armchairs, I cant believe someone just dumped them. What were they thinking!?

This really is beautiful simplicity, I can't believe I missed it the first time you posted. You have so many lovely items but the house looks homely too which is great. I really can't believe that someone threw out the chair and I love your Fatboy cushion

Ooh, ompas kaunis koti teillä! Tykkäsin keittiöstä todella paljon, samoin lipastosta lehtipinoineen yms yms. Hienon työn olette remontoinnissa tehneet. Aurinkoista syksyä!
