Hi..have just joined this living website.I need some style advice hope I have the right forum!!
I love striped carpet and have found a lovely one in earthy colours which I want to use in my through lounge hall and stairs.We have just painted the hall and lounge white as we have dark leather sofas and some 1930's wooden furniture .The carpet compliments the bits and pieces I have, but am worried that everyone coming in to the house will hate it or that even I will regret it once its down.I need some advice please!!

Hi Jadami
I am an interior designer and I think striped carpets is definately the way to go, it is very modern but classic as the same time. I am sure it will look amazing on the stairs. If all the colours are in earthy tones though consider painting your walls a warmer shade of white rather than plain white, it all might look a bit stark, good luck.
