Pictures and Photographs
      #68080 - 10/05/2009 14:25

Hi
I've collected a range of photographs and pictures. Sorry for being a bit dim, but can anyone tell me the best way to prepare them for framing? (Any type of backing? Board? Fabric? specific border?)

I also saw in June's Livingetc, p. 83 a room that had a number of framed pictures/photos all grouped together. I loved this. However, I'm a bit stuck as to the best way to do mine - different frames? differen/same sizes? colour/black and white? people together or mixed with scenes... I know this is a big question but if there is a book or somethng that would help me figure this out (aesthetic rules?) I'd be really grateful
Thanks
Barbara

Hi, can i suggest that you get a framer to do this for you. this way you can sit in their shop and choose a mixture of frames and then group them together. By using different framing it will look cool and interesting. Let the framing company then help you with making sure they are flat and well prepared to be framed.
