Another auction tip
      #63754 - 03/04/2009 16:52

I have just this email from criterion auctions, which are based in islington and wandsworth. I thought it might be of interest, especially the Scandi one in wandsworth. I have bought a few unusual bits from the islington auction house, generally very good value, and the auction itself is fun, if a little daunting! The best bit is that you can take your new purchase home straight away, beats the 4 week delivery time for most things!!

ps the website is a bit of a mess, but dont let it put you off

Criterion Auctioneers are proud to announce a Fine sale of Furniture, Art and Selected items in our Islington Saleroom this Monday the 6th of April @ 5pm please go to www.criterionauctions.co.uk to view the Items for sale, if you have any questions please email us on info@criterion-auctioneers.co.uk.

Also in our Wandsworth Sale room we are holding a Scandinavian Furniture, C20th Art and Sculpture sale in addition to our General sale, also on Monday the 6th of April @ 5pm. For any enquiries to this sale please call us on 0207 228 5563 or email info@criterionriversideauctions.co.uk.

i'm not so keen on that Eames. It looks kind of top-heavy.

The lot 63 table though is a shape to behold. Not sure about an engraved top though. Can't see it in the pic.

Eames, looks like the Papa Bear chair is no longer in the auction for some reason. I saw a white one with matching (?) footstool on US Ebay recently and thought of you.
