Decided to change all our furniture from very dated looking Birch to much more on trend Wenge.
Our home is only 6 months old so is a complete blank canvas so am trying to be bolder with patterns and colours.
The wallpaper is Laurence Llewellyn Bowen!
Plan to recover the chairs with multi coloured cut velvet in various gem colours once my sewing improves!!
What do you think?

I think it's really interesting how changing the vertical lines for horizontal ones in the furniture/shelving has really made a difference to the apparant proportions of the room. It now looks much more spacious. Amazing difference...

Pretty much all of the furniture is from Ikea (don't tell anyone), apart from the table which is from Dansk.

What a difference. I love the wallpaper. Would you mind telling me where you got the light from that hangs over the table, it's just what I'm looking for.

I hope you don't mind me contacting you. I’m working on a new tv series for ITV called House Gift and I saw your post on this forum and thought I'd ask you to see if you might be interested in taking part. The concept of the programme is that three experts descend on an ordinary home and compete to choose an antique, painting or object d’art that will win a permanent space in the heart of the household. They each have very different budgets and the homeowner chooses which gift they would like to keep but they don’t know who’s bought which item or how much each item’s worth. That won’t be revealed until after they’ve made their choice.
I'm looking for people to be involved in the show and was wondering if you would be interested. If so, please email me at laura.harding@itv.com with your contact details and we can have a further chat - no obligations! If not, no worries, I thought I'd ask just in case. Many thanks, Laura.
