They make covers for Ikea sofas, armchairs and cushions. The cheapest one for our sofa is £79, which isn't bad (the original covers from Ikea were £100, I think, and they've discontinued our sofa now anyway).
Thought this may be a useful site for other people.

Just to add, I actually ordered a sofa cover from Bemz and the quality was good and the company was very helpful. They sent me swatches of fabrics before I ordered, kept me informed of progress with the order via online tracking (the covers are made to order so take a while to come) and when they made an error by charging me the amount in £'s instead of in Euros they sorted it out very swiftly when I contacted them. We've had the cover for about a year now and it's worn well.
