Has anyone heard of, or used Wedi board before? If so, does nayone know how much it costs approx? Apparently it is waterproof, I was thinking of using it in my bathroom to box in some pipes. Any ideas?

Yes, I've heard of Wedi board, can't tell you what it costs but there are lots of similar tile-backer-board products around, not just Wedi.
Tile-backer-board is generally used to line walls where there's a weight of tiles issue and/or a wet environment. If you just need some stuff to box in a small area of pipes and it's not a *wet* area - e.g. the pipes aren't inside the shower, then you could just use water-resistant MDF. Not everything in a bathroom has to be 100% waterproof.

Yes it sounds like it might be OTT for boxing in pipes.
